Digital Account Manager

We’re looking for someone who is resourceful, authentic, enthusiastic, collaborative and steadfast to join our family. For this position, we’re seeking a driven Digital Account Manager who has a strong desire to learn, lead and win. This candidate is beautifully balanced. They are proactive in thinking and can multi-task, but also follow processes, spend periods of time “in the zone” and be completely concentrated.

This addition to our digital team will have the opportunity to work on exciting new projects, directly with the Schaefer account service team and clients to clearly understand our clients’ business objectives in an effort to formulate effective digital campaigns.


Execution, management and optimization of digital campaigns including SEM, display and social.

Digital project management and media planning

Client, vendor and inter-agency communications

Development of bi-weekly and monthly reporting insights and management of execution

Conversion optimization including best practices for website user flow

Ability to brainstorm and implementation of innovative and proven digital strategies

Experience with e-commerce, other digital marketing vehicles such as email and content marketing is a plus


3 – 5 years experience in the digital marketing field

Strong communication skills

Advanced understanding of bidding, budgets, pacing and reports KPI’s

Understanding and ability to optimize towards ROI focused campaigns

Experience with multiple ad and reporting platforms such as Google Analytics, Google AdWords, Facebook Business Manager

Excel superstar

Knowledge of site tagging, pixels and goals

Broad knowledge of digital media planning and implementation




Sr. Account Manager – Consumer

We are seeking an organized, go-getter for Senior Account Manager manager with experience in luxury consumer or entertainment fields. This is an opportunity to lead two high profile clients. The ideal person is one who can diplomatically and effectively influence people and loves to keep pace in a fast moving environment.

4-6 years ad agency experience.

Relevant client experience within the luxury household goods and family entertainment categories

Ability to handle multiple projects at any one time is essential.

Demonstrated experience developing strategic plans, brand positioning, creative briefs and project management.

College degree, MBA not required, but c’mon, it’s even better if you have one.


The primary focus will be to manage two major clients for the agency:

Key Responsibilities



We solve business problems. You have the ability to help clients define their business issues and develop, sound, strategic marketing solutions that measurably solve the client’s issues.

You have the ability to articulate strategic viewpoints verbally, as well as in writing.

Leverage the agency planning resources for development and presentation of strategic account plans, presentations.


Above all, execute marketing programs that yield the desired business results for our clients.

Clearly understand and leverage primary marketing channels – digital, print, social, paid media – to achieve client objectives.

Successfully manage, maintain and build client relationships to support agency growth.

Maintain proactive communications with both client and agency on account and status of projects.

Own project management for all account initiatives to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and meet or exceed client expectations

Articulate, and adhere to, agreed upon project directives and production guidelines.

Collaborate effectively with creative, production and other teams to facilitate and complete client initiatives.

Responsible for developing the positioning strategy for all creative projects

Sell the positioning strategy (creative brief) to clients and present to creative upon client approval.

Great writing skills are a must. You know how to pen compelling and succinct points of view.

You are extremely comfortably presenting the agency’s POV/Creative in a compelling, engaging non-combative way to clients and internal stakeholders.

Prepare accurate and timely internal communication: conference reports, status reports, budgets, etc.




Graphic Designer

Schaefer Advertising is looking to add a graphic designer to our team. If you have 1-2 years of experience under your belt, this is the job you’ve been waiting for. Our creative team is an idea first, execution second and design always kind of a crew. Truthfully, we are all a bunch of nerds who love to do what we do and have found some success doing just that.

We need a fellow lover of design, who fights for proper kerning and speaks in sketches when words aren’t quite enough to communicate the right idea. This is your chance to join a creative agency with some firepower and enjoy the ride because we are growing.


Our graphic designer will work collaboratively with our creative and account service teams to deliver creative solutions for our range of clients. They will be responsible for design work in both print and digital mediums.

We need a creative, team-player that enjoys the challenge of problem solving, strives to make things better and has fun doing it.


BFA or 4-year graphic design degree required

1-2 years of experience

Must be well-versed in Adobe Creative Suite

Positive Attitude

Resourceful, self-starter

Adaptability to changing circumstances and requirements

Ability to learn quickly, produce in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure.

Willingness to keep learning

2017 Account Service Intern

Account Service is not for the weak. Not only are you the liaison between the client and creative team, you must understand the client in and out. You anticipate the client’s needs and solve any problems they have. Are you strategy driven, a good communicator and detail-oriented? If so, show us what you got.

Fall training begins on August 28th and will last for 13 weeks. You’ll put in 14 hours per week for an approx. total of 182 credit hours for the season. We welcome the opportunity to apply your time with us towards university credit.


The Account Service intern will be coached by an individual account manager while helping support the entire agency-wide team. Here’s the game plan:

Media planning/coordinating

Metrics report analysis

Client meetings

Client support research

Schaefer brand projects

Agency-wide brainstorms


Must be a junior or senior with a major that’s pertinent to marketing

3.0 cumulative GPA or higher

It helps if you’re involved in extra-curricular activities, on campus or off

You must sign a confidentiality agreement

You must have a valid driver’s license

Must be available to work for the required weekly hours indicated for the semester

Must take direction well and be detail-oriented

Proficiency in Excel is a plus

Be eager to learn; we don’t do coffee-and-photocopies internships here
