In pursuit of growth, grapes and really good food

Let’s start by getting to know you a little better. Tell us about yourself.

My name is Becca Johnson. I am a born and bred Texan, raised in Coppell. I graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2010 — Woo Pig Sooie! I’ve been married to my husband, Chip, for three years, and we’re expecting our first child, Elliott Ann, in January 2022! We currently have three fur babies: Charlie the beagle, George the puggle and Hank the cat.

What’s something you love to do?

I love trying out new restaurants and wine bars. I am a big foodie.

What’s your favorite place?

St. John, US Virgin Islands.

What do you love about the job?

The ever-changing nature of the digital industry and watching my team grow and take shape. I love to help them achieve their goals and blossom within their careers.

What is the last thing you binge-watched?

Only Murders in the Building.

What’s your favorite book?

Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens

If you could live in any sitcom, which would it be?

New Girl. Because every day would be hilarious.

Are you a listener or a talker?

Listener.

If you had to eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Pasta.

If there weren’t any more computers, what would be your new occupation?

Own a dog shelter/doggie day care.

What’s the scariest thing you’ve done for fun?

I’m a big wimp when it comes to scary things, so haunted houses are my nightmare. I agreed to one while dating my now husband. It was terrifying.

What’s your favorite children’s story?

A favorite of mine is Goodnight Moon. It’s the book I am most excited to read to Elliott Ann once she gets here. It has become a bit of a family tradition. My sister and mom always read it to my niece, who is currently the only grandchild, so I am looking forward to sharing that same experience with my daughter. It always put my niece, Madison who is now 17, right to sleep. Hopefully that tradition continues as well.

If you had an extra hour of free time every day, what would you spend it doing?

Relaxing with my husband and fur babies.

Any words of advice?

Put your mental and physical health first. It will ultimately make your job better and you more successful in your career in the long run.
