Meet Nick Ganem
Let’s start by getting to know you a little better. Tell us about yourself.
I’ve lived all over the place! I was born in Cleveland, OH, and have lived in Detroit, MI; Orange County, CA; Atlanta, GA; Fort Worth, TX; and am now in Boulder, CO. I went to TCU, and unfortunately I do not have a dog but would love to have one.
What’s something you love to do?
I love fitness, hiking, camping, snowboarding, going to concerts and hanging out with friends.
What’s your favorite place?
Red Rocks Amphitheater.
What do you love about the job?
I love working with amazing people that push me to work harder each day!
What is the last thing you binge-watched?
What’s your favorite book?
Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer.
If you could live in any sitcom, which would it be?
The Office because it’s the only sitcom I’ve watched.
Are you a listener or a talker?
I’m a talker.
If you had to eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?
It would be the All Star Special from Waffle House.
If there weren’t any more computers, what would be your new occupation?
I would be a National Park Ranger.
What’s the scariest thing you’ve done for fun?
Legitimate rock climbing. I didn’t expect it to be as hard or high. If you slipped, the support you have from the ropes did not feel secure at all.
What’s your favorite children’s story?
All of the Magic Tree House books.
If you had an extra hour of free time every day, what would you spend it doing?
I’d be doing anything outdoors or in the gym.
Any words of advice?
Work hard when no one is looking because you never know who might notice.
I could write a book about why but the people at Schaefer are such an important reason behind the strength of the culture, which is why I chose Schaefer. It’s hard to find a place where the people make you excited to come to work but also make you better at your career every day.
